Mahşah Hanım

Born in Treibzond, educated by private tutors. She is the daughter of Şatırzade Ahmed Bey. She married Mehmed Hamid Efendi, judge in Halep. Her son is poet Kalcızade Agah Bey. She is also a calligrapher. She wrote poems in both syllabic meter which carry sufi overtones and with aruz which are written according to the rules of the classical divan poetry. She is also a musician who produced many songs. She is the writer of a play called "Mün’im Şah Yahut Zafer". She died in İstanbul and her grave is in Edirnekapı Cemetery.
