Nemika Tuğcu

She was born in 1946. She graduated from Kayseri Girls’ Middle School and Kandilli Girls’ High School. She retired from Paşabahçe Glass Industry. She worked in the journal Sanat Olayı and the culture and arts section of the newspaper Milliyet. She worked as a copywriter in advertising companies, agencies and TRT, as an editor in sectoral journals and as a proofreader in the newspaper Hürriyet and in the publishing house Doğan Kitap. She published her reviews in Milliyet Sanat, İstanbul, Gösteri and İnsancıl. She published her first short story in the journal, Varlık in 1987. She published her short stories in the arts supplement of Kıbrıs newspaper of Cyprus, Üçüncü Öyküler, E Dergisi and Bahçe journal of Antalya. She worked in the journals Hece Öykü an İmge Öyküler.

She is Kemalettin Tuğcu’s niece and wrote Kemalettin Tuğcu’s biography, Sırça Köşkün Masalcısı: Kemalettin Tuğcu'nun Yaşamöyküsü. She has been writing children’s books in the recent years.
