Oya Uysal

Born in İstanbul in 24 May 1952. “Fairy Tale for my Eyes” is her first poem published in 1968. Her poems are published in journals such as Yazko Edebiyat, Yaşam İçin Şiir, Adam Sanat, Milliyet Sanat, Gösteri, Düşler, Yaşasın Edebiyat, Kitap-lık, Varlık and Yasakmeyve. After her first few books she quit writing during 1980s. In 1997 she is awarded the Ceyhun Atıf Kansu Poetry Prize for her book Uçuruma Düşen Nehir and in 1999 she is awarded Cemal Süreya Poetry award for not published poems with her Mevsimini Kaybetmiş Rüzgâr. Her recent books are published by Yapı Kredi Yayınları
