Reha İsvan

Reha İsvan Born in Şehremini, İstanbul in 1925. Spent her childhood in Konya, Manisa, Erzurum, Kırklareli. She finished high school in Istanbul and university in Ankara. Started working in a firm that sells farm implements. Her essays have been published in various magazines since 1968. She is married with three children.

As a part of September 12 coup, she underwent the "Barış Derneği Trial" and spent 38 months in Metris Askeri Tutukevi. She continued working as an assistant principal. Writing a Reha İsva memoir, Zeynep Oral portrayed one of the first witnesses of September 12 in her book Bir Ses. İsvan's book Ne Söylersen Bir Eksik tells the story of political convicts with whom she shared a ward in Metris.
