Seda Cebeci

She was born in Bursa, in 1974. She completed her primary education in Gemlik and finished middle school at Bursa Girls’ High School. She graduated from the Department of Classical Archaeology, Istanbul University. Beginning with her university years, she published essays, reviews and poems in journals and newspapers such as Cumhuriyet Kitap, Dünya Kitap, Varlık, Sombahar, Düşler, Atika, Siyahi and Monakl.

Her first poetry collection, Okaliptüs-Yeşim Ağacı (Eucalypti–Jade Tree) was published 1993. In 1996, she received the "Yaşar Nabi Nayır Remarkable Young Poet Award" with her poetry collection, Ölüm (Death). She co-wrote her second book, Şimdi Gözlerini Kapa (Close Your Eyes Now) with journalist and writer Adnan Gerger. It is an essay collection written in a postmodern style.

Since 1995, she has worked as editor, editorial director and project leader in various broadcasting corporations and firms.
